In this video a TV reporter from Baltimore in town to cover the Super Bowl tries some of our famous cuisine and ends up in a food coma. This is a very common experience for visitors who just don’t know when to quit when it comes to partaking in New Orleans food.
New Orleans Food Puts Newswoman in Coma Before Super Bowl
She chows down on gumbo and poboys and beignets and pralines. She clarifies that praline is pronounced “praw-line” not “pray-line.” Then she completely negates her instruction by calling a pecan (properly pronouced “pa-cawn”) a pee-can. Ha, ha, ha. We will give her a pass though because perhaps by then the coma was about to set in and scrambled her brain.
But she did finally wake up to finish the report and although still full plans on going out to dinner. Now that is New Orleans living.
