New Orleans Saints and the Worst Defensive Season Ever

Whew. OK. Football is over for the New Orleans Saints for 2012. We made it through agonizing all the way. Had some major ups and downs. How about that 41-0 win over the Dallas Cowboys? Pretty amazing. Brees continues to amaze and stun.

Bounty-gate knocked the New Orleans Saints off their feet in 2012.

But heck, what can you do when the team is demoralized by the NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

And destroying any chance for the team to go to the Superbowl in its home stadium.

Was that planned?

The Saints could have done it, we had the coach and the quarterback, great players and the support of the fans.

But no. Without much evidence Goodell accuses the Saints of bounty hunting and basically takes a his fillet knife, guts the team like a redfish and flings its entrails into a rusty bucket. OK. I know, overwrought, nasty imagery. He sidelines our wondrous coach for a season. And we just have to wait it out.

Anyway, with all that going on it turns out that our team has the worst defensive season ever in NFL history. This article from The Advocate explains it all in all its gory detail.
